2. Alabama’s Running Game

Alabama football always has a strong running game, but the Tide are going to have to replace one of the best in school history in Najee Harris. The guy who is going to get the start for the Crimson Tide is going to be senior Brian Robinson Jr, who was the Tide’s main backup last season. Robinson is a big and physical back who is going to be hard for the Miami linebackers to bring down.

Behind Robinson Jr, Alabama has other talented backs as well. Trey Sanders was one of the top-rated running backs a couple of years ago but has not been able to get on the field due to injury.

I think that it is fair to expect Sanders to get more than a few carries on Saturday, as I think Alabama is going to use the running game to settle quarterback Bryce Young into the game.

Miami’s defense had some serious trouble stopping the run a season ago. North Carolina had over 500 yards on the Hurricanes and they could not stop Clemson from running the ball either. Miami has smaller linebackers and tackling big backs like Robinson Jr and Sanders is going to be a tough task all game.
