3. Alabama’s Front Seven has the Advantage up Front

Alabama football is known for having dominant defenses under head coach Nick Saban, but it has been a while since they have had a totally dominant unit that could suffocate an offense. That is going to change in 2021.

Alabama had two performances last season that was below its standard on defense, giving up lots of points and yards to Florida and Ole Miss. Aside from those two games, this defense really dominated and got much better as the season went on.

The two guys that Miami needs to be worried about upfront will be linebackers Christian Harris and Will Anderson. Miami’s offensive line is experienced and has a potential first-round pick in left tackle Zion Nelson, but this is going to be a different test than they are used to.

In the game against Clemson last season, Miami’s offensive line looked completely outmatched, and could not hang with such elite talent up front. I think a similar outcome could be in store for Miami this Saturday.
