2. LSU (-3) at UCLA

Everyone has just finished overreacting to UCLA’s Week 0 performance against Hawaii where they had their way with the Rainbow Warriors and barely broke a sweat.

Chip Kelly won his first season opener as UCLA head coach and the Bruins have some extra momentum heading into their most important non-conference game of the year. Will this be enough to pull off the upset of an LSU team coming off a disappointing 2020 season in which they took about 10 steps back from the national title-winning campaign in 2019?

Short answer: no.

LSU has too many athletes and guys who will give UCLA problems such as Derek Singley Jr. and Kayshon Boutte and even though the quarterback situation is a little iffy with Myles Brennan out and Max Johnson getting the start.

Defensively, LSU is going to cause major problems for Dorian Thompson-Robinson who looked mediocre against a bad Hawaii defense and the offense is going to do just enough to pull away late. The Tigers should win this one by double digits, even if it is on the road.
