Best skill guys in the country

Ohio State football has an embarrassment of riches on the offensive side of the ball and as the game progressed, it occurred to me this is probably the best group of skill guys in the country.

The Buckeyes are blessed with an uber-talented quarterback and one that has multiple five-star recruits including the former No. 1 QB in 2022 holding his clipboard.

On top of that and Stroud’s impressive night, how many teams have two first-round wide receivers in the lineup as Ohio State does in Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave? Not many.

The two combined for nine receptions, 197 yards, and two touchdowns. Both players found the end zone and hauled in touchdown passes of at least 56 yards in the second half.

On top of that, the running back group is also just loaded for bear. Miyan Williams broke open for a 71-yard touchdown run and for good measure, five-star freshman TreVeyon Henderson took a pass 70 yards for a score of his own.

It’s an insane collection of talent, even if the defense has a few warts to get rid of.
