Ohio State Football: C.J. Stroud is already Big Ten’s best QB
Buckeyes aren’t flawless
It was a solid opening win for Ohio State football and you can’t feel bad about winning by 14 on the road, particularly when the Buckeyes trailed at the half.
Mohamed Ibrahim rushed for 163 yards Thursday night and was able to break open some big plays. As a team, Ohio State allowed over 400 total yards, and even though the Golden Gophers have an above-average offense, in fact, one of the better offenses in the Big Ten, the Ohio State defense could be a weakness.
The Gophers coughed up two fumbles but Morgan was 14-for-25 and on top of the yardage total, Minnesota converted 8-of-14 third-down attempts and also notched big plays in the running game and the air.
Ohio State looked like a contender on Thursday night, but the offense is going to have to score a lot of points to go undefeated. Thankfully, it’s built to do exactly that.
