1. Fourth quarter was a disaster

The fourth quarter could not have gone worse for Notre Dame. The Irish mounted an 18-point lead to make it 38-20 at the start of the fourth quarter and it looked like they were going to just coast to a big win at Florida State.

And then the Seminoles got a spark.

McKenzie Milton replaced Jordan Travis and looked like the guy for the Seminoles, leading them to 18 straight points in the fourth and luckily the Irish held them to a field goal on their final possession because it looked like Florida State was going to take the lead with just over a minute left.

Notre Dame’s defense completely broke down and the offense looked far too safe as the Irish lost all momentum and got away from what got them that big lead.

The game went into overtime and provided fans everywhere a thriller and instant classic, but the Irish could have stepped on the Seminoles’ throats, especially with Jordan Travis struggling, but they failed to do just that.

Brian Kelly may want to burn the tape from the fourth quarter.
