Welcome back to the ACC Football Power Rankings headquarters on the corner of Death Valley East and the Electric Carrier Dome.

We would be remiss to first not send positive vibes to anyone affected by Hurricane Ida and its remnants and to say, “rest in peace, coach Bowden, you were one in a million.”

That said, If you did not see a weekend like this coming for ACC football, you either don’t drink mint juleps, have no concept of the Textile Bowl, or some dastardly combination of both. However, for all three ranked teams to lose is still something.

The Tar Heels haven’t learned to live without NFL talent yet, and Justin Fuente continues to prove just how much of a tease he is. Oh, and Duke lost to Charlotte.

Regarding playing conference games as non-conference games and the rivalry that ain’t really a rivalry, here are the Power Rankings for week 1.
