Volunteers . 8. team. 839. . 1-0. Previous: 11th

The Volunteers obliterated Bowling Green and looked pretty competent while doing it, so they move up three spots in the rankings to No. 8. They still aren’t the top half of the conference, but they showed that they are ready to play at least the little schools that come before the SEC schedule — something some schools really can’t say (looking at you Mississippi State and Vanderbilt).

Now they prepare for Pitt and that could actually be a good matchup for Joe Milton and his team.

. 1-0. Previous: 9th. Wildcats . 7. team. 833

Kentucky’s quarterback looks competent for the first time in a while and that brings the Wildcats into the middle of the conference.

Things are exciting in Lexington as of right now and no one is focused on when basketball season is coming. Could that change if Missouri wakes up and remembers that they are decent enough at football to knock off a team like Kentucky? Probably, but we will see on Saturday.
