4. team. 840. . 1-0. Previous: 4th. Gators

The Gators don’t move after taking down FAU, but they are in danger of being jumped by Ole Miss if they don’t figure out what is going on at quarterback and can’t keep up what they’ve got on defense.

They play South Florida in Week 2, so things aren’t getting much harder and they have the time to figure things out at the quarterback spot — even though Dan Mullen seems pretty set on rolling with Emory Jones at this point.

team. 873. . 1-0. Previous: 3rd. Aggies . 3

The Aggies stay put at No. 3 after a 31-point win over the Kent State Golden Flashes. Yes, Haynes King threw three interceptions but two of those were off deflections and things were overall strong on offense despite a new-look offensive line. The running game was strong once again and the defense was opportunistic — especially Leon O’ Neal who finished the game with two interceptions including a pick-six.

The Aggies face off against a scrappy Colorado team in Week 2 in Denver, so hopefully they aren’t caught off guard.
