The 2021 college football season is off to a roaring start and while Week 1 had some really good games, Week 2 is relatively top-heavy.

In fact, this week has a couple of ranked matchups like Ohio State versus Oregon and Iowa at Iowa State, but other than that, it’s a bunch of decent games and FBS against FCS contests.

There’s also games like Michigan versus Texas, BYU versus Utah, Arkansas versus Texas, and TCU versus Cal which could draw some viewership, but nothing will be quite like the Georgia and Clemson game in Week 1 that ended in a 10-3 advantage to the Bulldogs.

But betting never sleeps and I went 3-2 in my “best bets” picks for Week 1 with my only losses being the over in the Texas A&M and Kent State game and LSU (-3) at UCLA.

What are my best bets for Week 3, according to WynnBET?

5. South Carolina (+1) at East Carolina

This one just doesn’t seem right, does it? East Carolina is a popular pick right now to be the next Group of Five team to topple a Power Five squad, but if Kevin Harris is healthy, I just don’t see how South Carolina falls in this one.

East Carolina lost its opening game against App State while South Carolina built some confidence with a 46-0 win over Eastern Illinois to kick off the Shane Beamer era.

There’s some excitement surrounding the South Carolina program again and even though this game is on the road and the spread is what it is for a reason, I just don’t see the Gamecocks losing to East Carolina, which went just 3-6 last season, even with Zeb Noland at quarterback.

I’m taking South Carolina here.
