1. Oregon (+16) at Ohio State

People don’t realize just how talented Oregon is and that’s probably because the Ducks are tucked away in the Pac-12 with the rest of the forgotten toys. But the Ducks have serious talent.

Plus that opening win over Fresno State was far from impressive so everyone who was on the fence for this game immediately tilted their vote in Ohio State’s direction — and honestly, that’s fair. The Ducks didn’t look very good against Fresno State, but the Buckeyes didn’t look all that impressive against Minnesota, either. Both teams look beatable.

I do think Ohio State wins this game, but if Kayvon Thibodeaux ends up playing, the Ducks are going to make things interesting in Columbus. Beating the Ducks by more than 16 will be tough.

Oregon hasn’t lost a regular-season game by at least 16 points since October of 2018 and this is arguably the most talented team Mario Cristobal has ever fielded. I think Oregon covers here and this game is far closer than people truly believe.

Ohio State is good, but Oregon is not a pushover.
