2. Hank Bachmeier throws four TD passes

I don’t know about you, but I was really impressed with Hank Bachmeier in the opener against UCF as it looked like Andy Avalos made the right decision to start him over USC transfer Jack Sears.

Bachmeier threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns and was one of the main reasons the Broncos built such a comfortable lead over UCF before eventually falling. He did throw a really bad interception late in the game that he probably has had nightmares about, but he was relatively mistake-free other than that forgettable throw.

UTEP only allows about 156 passing yards per game in two wins but the Miners haven’t seen a player quite like Bachmeier yet and he’s going to have a big game.

Bachmeier will double his touchdown passes from the opener and pass for nearly 300 yards again. And even more bold: he won’t throw a single pick.
