1. This game is decided by halftime

Getting George Holani back (no chance this turns into a freezing cold prediction, right?) and having Hank Bachmeier play one of the best games of his career will be enough to put this game out of reach relatively early on.

Unlike the UCF game, Boise State is going to build a big lead in the first half and the defense will hold, making life difficult for UTEP which hasn’t seen a legit team yet. Both Bethune-Cookman and New Mexico State are below average and won’t come close to what the Miners will see from Boise State on Friday night.

Bachmeier is going to throw two touchdowns in the first quarter and Holani will follow that up with a touchdown run in the second quarter and a field goal by the Broncos makes it 24-0 before UTEP can even blink. The Broncos will add another score and UTEP will get on the board before halftime, but the game will be pretty much decided at that point.

This game will be over by halftime and the Broncos will coast in the final two quarters to win by 3-4 touchdowns.
