2. Georgia’s defense had another dominant performance

Most will scoff at the level of competition that Georgia played today, but UAB is a quality Group of Five team and they are going to compete for a C-USA championship this season. The pass rush for the Bulldogs was relentless and they had UAB running for their life. The run defense was solid and that is the key to shutting down the Blazers’ offense.

Georgia’s secondary locked down the UAB receivers and that is what gave way to the Bulldogs dominating up front. This is going to be something that Bulldog fans are going to be expecting week in and week out and they should only get better as some guys are going to be coming back from injury.

It was another performance where the Georgia defense did not allow a touchdown and that is an impressive feat. It is one of the most dominant units in all of college football and they showed why on Saturday. Look for this defense to turn in more performances like this all season.
