Georgia Football: 3 takeaways from dominant win over UAB
1. Brock Bowers is the next star in Georgia’s offense
A lot of the talk coming into the season about Georgia and their tight end position rightfully revolved around Darnell Washington and how he was poised to have a breakout season. With Washington out with an injury, that opened the door for true freshman Brock Bowers to earn some playing time and he has made the most of it so far.
Bowers was a focal point of Georgia’s offense when they faced Clemson last week and he made the most of his opportunities. He had another great performance for the Bulldogs against UAB, catching three passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Bowers showed his athleticism when he caught an 89-yard touchdown pass and outran everyone on the Blazers’ defense.
Look for Bowers to keep improving and be one of the most impactful freshmen in the country. It has been a great start for the freshman tight end and it could be a sign of things to come for the Bulldogs.
