2. Group of Five teams will have a an impressive week

The Group of Five teams have several marquee games this week, headlined by Memphis and Mississippi State. Memphis football has a city-sized chip on their shoulder after not being invited to the Big 12 during the first round of conference realignment.

The Memphis Tigers have been on absolute tear this season, putting up over 633 total yards per game and scoring the seventh-most points per game in all of college football. With home field advantage, most won’t be surprised if Memphis is able to pull off the upset.

Boise State and Oklahoma State will be a game with intrigue. Boise State nearly beat the Gus Malzhan-led Central Florida team in Week 1 and absolutely destroyed UTEP in Week 2. Oklahoma State won its first two games of the season against smaller schools Missouri State and Tulsa by a combined 12 points. The Broncos could pull off the upset this week.

Arkansas, fresh off a win against ranked Texas, has a trap game against Georgia Southern. The Razorbacks could be on a winner’s high this week and looking ahead to the next several weeks of action when they will play Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, and Auburn in consecutive weeks. If the Hogs are not focused, Georgia Southern could pull off the upset.
