3. Ohio State QB CJ Stroud will put up huge numbers again

Ohio State freshman quarterback CJ Stroud has put up huge numbers against the Big Ten and the Pac-12 in the first two games of his career.

Stroud passed for nearly 300 yards in the Week 1 opener against Minnesota. Last week, against Oregon, Stroud threw for nearly 500 yards. He’s thrown seven touchdown passes so far this season and enters Week 3 against a struggling Tulsa team (0-2).

If Stroud put up those gaudy numbers against formidable Power 5 schools, imagine what he’ll do against a defense that’s managed to record just three sacks and one interception this season. We’ll watch what happens when these two teams meet on Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m. on FS1.

Honorable mention: The entire Baylor football backfield goes off

Baylor (2-0) has put up video game like-numbers in its first two games of the season. Three different running backs have accounted for six total touchdowns and a combined 591 rushing yards. Baylor will square off against Kansas (1-1) that has held their opponents to less than 23 points in each game. However, the running back trio of Abram Smith, Trestan Ebner, and Taye McWilliams will be too much for the uproven Kansas Jayhawks’ defense to subdue.

Catch the Baylor Bears and the Kansas Jayhawks Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
