Alabama Football: 3 reasons Crimson Tide will beat Florida in Week 3
The No. 1 team in the country is taking its show on the road and they will be playing in the swamp for the first time since 2011. This is the only matchup in the top 15 this weekend, but for a top-15 matchup, nobody is giving the Florida Gators much of a chance to pull off the upset at home. This is going to be Alabama football‘s second-ranked matchup so far this season and this is going to be Florida’s toughest game of the year after opening up with FAU and South Florida.
This has a chance to be another showcase game for Alabama football quarterback Bryce Young. Young has looked poised and unafraid of the moment so far this season, but this is going to be his first road test in a hostile environment.
After picking apart Miami, some declared Young to be the Heisman front-runner and it is hard not to see why. The scary thing is, this Alabama offense could be getting better as the year goes on because they have so many young players at the skill positions.
The thing to watch with Florida in this game is what they do at quarterback. Emory Jones has started the first two weeks of the season, but his play has been erratic at best and he has had a problem turning the ball over. Most Gator fans have been clamoring for Anthony Richardson to take over at quarterback and it is not hard to see why. Richardson has made some big plays in every game and it could be what Florida needs if they want to even keep the game close.
This is going to be the most-watched game this weekend and has huge implications nationally and in the SEC.
Here are the three reasons that I think Alabama will beat Florida.
