3. Florida’s Defense has not been tested yet

Last season, Florida had one of the best offenses in the country, but their defense really kept them from being a better football team. So far in two games this season, the defense does look improved, but they have not faced the best of competition. That is going to change in a big way on Saturday.

In their opening game vs Miami, there was some uncertainty as to how the Alabama offense would look with so many new coaches and starters. The Crimson Tide responded by throttling Miami and hitting big plays in chunks with their receivers. Ohio State transfer Jameson Williams has been a great addition so far and it is only a matter of time before freshman Jojo Earle and Agiye Hall assert themselves in the offense.

I think that Florida’s defense is going to be better than last year, but it is hard to know by how much. We are going to find out for better or for worse on Saturday.
