1. Malik Cunningham has some serious guts

Heading into this game, I made a prediction that Malik Cunningham and the Cardinals would not be able to keep up with UCF in a shootout. I was dead wrong.

Cunningham deserves some respect.

Through two games, I was slightly unimpressed with his arm talent and his accuracy was slightly lacking but on Friday night, he proved that he can make some tough throws and was moving well all night long. He had 74 rushing yards pretty much as the game started and he finished with a team-high 99 and two touchdowns on 13 carries.

Not only did he run well, but he made the right throws, didn’t make any huge mistakes (I’m not calling a tipped pass at the line 100 percent his fault) and he finished with 265 yards and a touchdown on 23-of-38 completions. He had a gutsy performance, seeing as he was limping around at the end of the game and didn’t want to come out.

This team loves Cunningham and he went out and out-dueled Dillon Gabriel and a potent UCF offense which deserves some dang credit.

I’m sorry for doubting you, Malik.
