Michigan State Football travels to Miami this Saturday to take on the Hurricanes and the Spartans are looking to pull off the upset

When looking at the opening betting lines from WynnBet this weekend in college football, I was startled to see that Miami was more than a touchdown favorite over Michigan State Football.

The line has come down some, but it seems that even the markets are underestimating the Spartans this season. I think that Michigan State is flying under the radar and they are going to have a chance to really shine this Saturday against the 24th ranked Hurricanes.

Michigan State has made easy work of its first two opponents and looks much improved. While they have only played Northwestern and Youngstown State, the Spartans look to have a better ground game and the offensive line is better as well. However, the defense is still coming together under head coach Mel Tucker and needs to be better as the season has gone on.

Michigan State football is relying on a significant amount of transfers to help turn their program around and get them back on the winning track. The one that is making the most noise so far is running back Kenneth Walker III, the running back transfer from Wake Forest. Walker has given this offense a workhorse on offense and he has been fantastic through two games. Miami’s defense struggles to tackle and that could mean a big day on the ground.

I have the feeling that Miami is a very overrated team and that the Hurricanes don’t deserve their current ranking. They were throttled by Alabama and just escaped vs App State, a game they probably should have lost. Their offense does not look good through two games and I don’t think they are a touchdown better than Michigan State, which is where the odds are at.

Here are the three reasons Michigan State will upset Miami on Saturday.
