UCF football is off to a hot start to its 2021 season, going 2-0 through its first two games which includes a come-from-behind victory over Boise State.

Louisville, on the other hand, is 1-1 after losing to Ole Miss in the opener by a comfortable margin and then beating Eastern Kentucky 30-3. There are a ton of question marks surrounding Scott Satterfield’s Cardinals ahead of Friday night’s matchup with UCF and that’s going to be an issue.

Here’s why the Knights will beat Louisville on Friday night.

3. UCF will win the turnover battle

If there’s one thing we know about Malik Cunningham and the Louisville offense, it’s that they’re turnover prone. The veteran quarterback has been known to make some questionable decisions. The Cardinals have three turnovers this season — one on an interception and two lost fumbles.

UCF has also turned the ball over a couple of times as both teams have an even turnover ratio but the Cardinals are more likely to cough the ball up, in my opinion.

Cunningham is going to throw another pick on Friday night and the Cardinals will lose a couple of fumbles while UCF only turns it over once.

Winning the turnover battle is usually a good indicator of who’s going to win. If UCF wins the turnover battle like I think it will, the game will be in the Knights’ hands.
