College Football Rankings 2021: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 4

Week 3 of the college football season was fantastic for the casual fan. Even though there weren’t a ton of top-ranked matchups on the schedule, there were some incredible games.

Although it didn’t really have an effect on the AP Top 25, Friday night’s UCF vs. Louisville game was one of the best games of the weekend, kicking Week 3 off with a down-to-the-wire matchup that ended with a shocking Cardinals win. UCF was right outside of the Top 25 but the Knights will likely be nowhere near after losing on the road and losing Dillon Gabriel in the process.

Saturday kicked off with some intriguing games like Indiana hosting Cincinnati and the game was close for three quarters until the Bearcats pulled away late to win by 14.

The day kicked off with a big Nebraska and Oklahoma game that was much closer than people expected as the Sooners won by just a score against the Cornhuskers. Cincinnati went on the road to beat Indiana in a game that had upset special written all over it. No. 15 Virginia Tech was the biggest upset of the afternoon as they lost to West Virginia in Morgantown and Michigan State also upset Miami in Hard Rock Stadium.

The 3:30 p.m. ET slate was highlighted by an Alabama vs. Florida affair that went down to the wire. The Gators gave Alabama all it could handle and lost by just two in a thriller.

Finally, the nightcap was highlighted by a huge Penn State vs. Auburn game as well as a battle between BYU and Arizona State. These two ranked battles were highly anticipated and will have a major impact on the shakeup in the Top 25 for Week 4.
