If you’re like me, you were interested to see how Oregon would fare the week after winning an emotional game against No. 3 Ohio State on the road, and luckily the Ducks didn’t have to worry too much about a letdown or hangover because they hosted Stony Brook from the FCS.

The Ducks were favored by about six touchdowns but the game was a little closer than expected through the first half as they went into the locker room with a 17-7 lead but they cruised in the second half.

Anthony Brown had a decent game through the air and CJ Verdell was effective on the ground along with Travis Dye.

Oregon needs to assert its dominance a little more against these inferior opponents like Stony Brook and in Week 1 against Fresno State if it wants to really impress voters, but the Ducks should stay put at No. 4 regardless.

The Ducks will get a Pac-12 test next weekend against Arizona.
