One of the best Group of Five teams in the country hit the road in Week 3 to take on a tough Buffalo squad but no one expected it to be this close. The Bulls put up a fight but Coastal Carolina held on for a three-point victory. It didn’t take long for the Chanticleers to realize that Buffalo wasn’t exactly the same type of opponent as Baylor.

Who’s shocked that Ole Miss put up a ridiculous amount of points behind the arm of Matt Corral and legs of Jerrion Ealy? No one? That’s what I thought. As long as Lane Kiffin is the head coach in Oxford, Ole Miss is going to put up a ton of points and that was the case on Saturday night against Tulane. This offense can hang with darn near anyone.

Iowa State was one of the most favored teams in college football this weekend on WynnBET and the Cyclones had a lot to live up to as they traveled to UNLV for a late-night battle out west. The Cyclones cruised to an easy victory over the Rebels and no one should really be surprised, but they needed a confidence-booster after losing to Iowa last week.

I just can’t bring myself to predict a huge drop for Florida after losing at home to the No. 1 team in college football. The Gators looked tough all afternoon long and even out-gained the Crimson Tide by about 100 yards. Emory Jones looked solid while Anthony Richardson was out with an injury and the Gators were a missed extra point away from an overtime battle with the nation’s top team. Some respect here is needed.

I truly don’t know what to make of Notre Dame this season. The Irish held on to beat Florida State on the road in overtime but we’ve since found out that the Seminoles are awful. Then the Irish barely beat Toledo at home and on Saturday, they beat Purdue 27-13. Was it an impressive win? No, but you can’t really knock a team for winning by a couple of touchdowns and covering.
