Texas A&M had one of those no-brainer wins in Week 3, hosting New Mexico. The Lobos didn’t stand a chance and it was a nice tune-up game for Zach Calzada and the Aggies.

The Aggies were up 24-0 at halftime and then 34-0 after three quarters, cruising to an easy win in College Station. And Calzada didn’t even have to do much.

In fact, the replacement for Haynes King who will be out at least a few weeks completed 19-of-33 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns. He did throw a pick and his accuracy could afford to improve, but he was reliable for most of the afternoon and gained some confidence.

Isaiah Spiller continued the torrid start to his season with 15 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown as he was the best player on the field all afternoon long.

Texas A&M gets Arkansas next weekend in a huge ranked rivalry battle.
