College Football Rankings 2021: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 4
It’s hard to really judge Penn State this season. On one hand, the defense looks solid and they’ve held their own against two ranked teams in Wisconsin and Auburn, but on the other, Sean Clifford has been inconsistent.
Luckily for the Nittany Lions against Auburn, he was far from inconsistent as he had a heck of a first half as he took advantage of a Jahan Dotson matchup and if he can remain that effective throughout the remainder of the year, the Big Ten could be in trouble — we have seen how beatable Ohio State looks.
We saw Clifford come out of the locker room at halftime and look even better in the second half which is a good sign for Penn State, especially if he and Dotson can remain healthy.
Auburn gave the Nittany Lions all they could handle in a White Out atmosphere (just the 13th in school history) but Penn State held on for a big win.
Will the Nittany Lions move up far? I would say a few spots after seeing Ohio State and Clemson struggle this week.
