As a whole, this was the best weekend of the still-young 2021 college football season. There were a lot of close calls for the teams ranked at the top and most of them were unexpected.

Alabama looked vulnerable for the first time all season, Clemson struggled to put away a bad Georgia Tech team, Oklahoma avoided losing to Nebraska, and Ohio State still looked incompetent on the defensive side of the ball.

The season might not be as chalky as we thought and there could be some big upsets on the horizon in the coming weeks.

The top-ranked team in the country had a tougher game than it looked like they were going to have when the game started. Florida came away as one of the more impressive teams from yesterday as they outgained Alabama by more than 100 yards. If it were not for a missed extra point, the Gators might have pulled the upset. The Crimson Tide are still the team to beat, but they showed they might not be invincible like they were last season.

Oklahoma and Clemson sleepwalked through their two games yesterday and while I don’t think that it is time to panic for them, they have not shown a consistent effort each week and they haven’t shown they are playoff teams yet. The Big Ten looks like it could be as deep as ever with Penn State getting a big win over Auburn and Michigan State dominating Miami.

This has been a crazy season so far and I think that we are just getting started so buckle up.

Here are the winners and losers from the Week 4 AP Top 25.
