Penn State football notched another big win and here are three Nittany Lions who deserve a game ball.

From a raucous Beaver Stadium Saturday night, Penn State football and Auburn battled it out in an instant classic. The Nittany Lions ended up victorious 28-20.

Auburn was not going to be intimidated and gave Penn State football everything it had. For the most part, they handled the White Out crowd very well with only a couple of false start penalties. Bo Nix played better on the road than he had previously but still recorded no touchdowns. The bulk of Auburn’s offense came on the ground, led by Tank Bigsby who topped 100 yards and recorded two scores.

Penn State played well on offense, scoring a touchdown in each quarter. Their defense, while allowing 182 yards on the ground, came up with the big stops and plays when they needed to do so. Even when it seemed the officiating was against them, the most egregious was forcing Penn State to punt on third down, the Nittany Lions endured and came up with a good win against a good SEC team.

The Nittany Lions are now 3-0 on the season. They have victories over ranked Wisconsin and Auburn. Those wins sandwiched a win over a Ball State team with potential to win its second consecutive MAC championship. There is a long way to go but the Nittany Lions look good through the first quarter of the regular season.

Back to the Auburn game, there were a few standouts for the Nittany Lions. Jahan Dotson and Joey Porter Jr. get honorable mention game balls for their play. Here are the top three Nittany Lions who deserve game balls for their outstanding play against the Tigers.
