Texas A&M football started fast and even though it cooled off throughout the matchup, the Aggies still were able to blank New Mexico, 34-0.

Should they have won by more? Probably, but here are some game balls for the Aggies that played well and were able to make big-time plays to keep Texas A&M as winners in this one.

3. Moose Muhammad III and Demond Demas

We saw a lot of the usual suspects when it comes to Texas A&M’s offense. However, what we did get to see is some of the young guys do their thing and it was extremely exciting to see.

To start Demond Demas grabbed his first Aggie touchdown on a 70-yard catch and run to the end zone. He added another 30-yard grab later in the game. Then, Moose Muhammad III added a pretty one-handed touchdown grab — shown above — to put the Aggies up 34-0 in the ending minutes of the third, where the score would stay.

While guys like Chase Lane and Caleb Chapman are good and fun to watch, these two proved on Saturday that they deserve time in the rotation with the separation they were able to get and the big-time plays they were able to make. Look for both to get playing time in the coming games, especially against the likes of Arkansas and Alabama which will require a lot of good offensive play to keep up with what their offenses are able to do.
