2. Isaiah Spiller and Devon Achane

The Aggie running backs were instrumental in this one as they no longer have a mobile quarterback able to make big plays with his legs.

Devon Achane really got the party started as a receiver for the first touchdown of the day — the 26-yard strike shown below. He finished with 45 receiving yards and 29 rushing yards and while those numbers don’t jump off the page, he made a difference when he was asked to, and as the second string running back- that is all you can ask for.

On the other side, it took Isaiah Spiller a bit to get going, but when he did, he went off. He finished with 117 yards on 15 carries including a 46-yard run and a five-yard touchdown on a fourth down and goal-to-go situation.

Look for both of these guys to be big against Arkansas, a team that did give up 154 rushing yards to Georgia Southern this past week. In comparison, the Aggies allowed only 89 along with 33 through the air.
