SEC football power rankings, Week 4: Alabama finally looks human
By Shelbie Warr
The Gamecocks were one of the worst 2-0 teams in the conference a week ago and now, after playing Georgia, that was just confirmed. They couldn’t keep up with the Bulldogs on any side of the ball but they are now preparing to host a Kentucky team that struggled with Chatanooga a week ago, so who knows how that one is going to go.
Simply put, without something drastic happening, I don’t anticipate the Gamecocks moving up too much this season.
The Volunteers stay at No. 11 even after a 56-0 beat down of Tennessee Tech. The loss to Pitt knocked them down few pegs and it will take a lot for them to jump back up again.
Now, they prepare for a Florida team who just went toe-to-toe with the likes of Alabama. That isn’t going to go well for the Vols, I can promise you that.
