3. UCLA continues its slide with a loss to Stanford

David Shaw, head coach of the Stanford Cardinal, has his team firing on all cylinders going into a big game against UCLA (2-1).

After a surprising Week 1 loss to Kansas State, Stanford (2-1) has bounced back with wins over then-ranked No. 14 USC and a blow-out win over Vanderbilt of the SEC.

Sophomore quarterback Tanner McKee is taking care of the football, connecting on more than 71 percent of his passes and throwing zero interceptions through three weeks of play.

Chip Kelly is trying to rally his team after a tough 40-37 loss to Fresno State. He’s getting great effort from senior quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who’s thrown seven touchdowns and only one interception. However, he’s having a tough time connecting with his receivers, only completing 55 percent of his passes this season.

Expect Stanford to apply constant pressure and force Thompson-Robinson to make bad throws. The Cardinal already have three takeaways this season and have recorded four sacks.

Look for UCLA vs Stanford on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. EST on Pac-12 Network.
