2. Arkansas upsets Texas A&M, proving Sam Pittman is nation’s hottest coach

The Arkansas Razorbacks (3-0) have experienced one of the biggest and quickest turnarounds in college football after the arrival of Head Coach Sam Pittman.

Pittman has his Hog ready for the biggest test of the young season when they travel to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to take on Texas A&M (3-0).

This annual neutral site game is expected to be one of the best games in college football this week. While Texas A&M has won nine straight against Arkansas, there’s renewed hope the Razorbacks will make this series competitive once again.

“The rivalry hasn’t been a rivalry for the last nine years…you have to win for it to become a rivalry a little bit more,” Pittman acknowledged in comments captured by WholeHogSports.

Expect Arkansas to leverage its stellar defense against a second-string quarterback who could be just about any team’s QB1. Sophomore quarterback Zach Calzada has stepped into the starting role after Haynes King went down with an injury in Week 2 against Colorado.

Calzada showed why he’s worthy of the starting job, airing out 275 passing yards and three touchdowns against New Mexico last week. He’ll do his best to slice up the Razorback defense for big passing gains.
