This Utah State versus Boise State football game on Saturday afternoon is going to be an early-morning battle for those in Mountain Time. Broncos and Aggies fans alike will be up early on Saturday morning for one of the most interesting Group of Five battles of the weekend.

Boise State is hoping to bounce back from a shaky start to the season which has included a couple of close losses to UCF and Oklahoma State.

The Broncos have what it takes to win the Mountain West this season but they will need to take care of Utah State on the road in Week 4.

Let’s get bold.

3. Boise State has 100-yard rusher finally

Believe it or not, Boise State’s run game has been far from effective this season. The Broncos don’t have a single rusher that has gained 100 yards in a game this year and they actually don’t have anyone over 100 yards through three games. In fact, the top rusher, Cyrus Habibi-Likio, has just 61 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.

The Broncos’ leading rusher averages 2.7 yards per carry and a banged up George Holani is averaging just 2.9 per touch. Andrew VanBuren is averaging 2.1 per carry and the bright spot has been Tyler Crowe who has seven rushes for 45 yards on the year.

Boise State is finally going to have a 100-yard rusher against a Utah State defense that surrenders over 215 yards per game on the ground.

My guess? George Holani. But I also wouldn’t be shocked if it was Habibi-Likio.
