Boise State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Utah State in Week 4
2. Hank Bachmeier has his best game of the season
I’ve been buying all the Hank Bachmeier stock this season and so far, he hasn’t let me down. It’s best to buy the dip and with everyone jumping off the Boise State bandwagon after a 1-2 start, now’s the time.
Through three games, Bachmeier already has a career-best yards per attempt average, passer rating and completion percentage. He is on pace to smash his previous career-high in touchdown passes and total yards. He was decent against Oklahoma State last week and that will prep him for Utah State.
Bachmeier threw for 242 yards and a touchdown on 65 percent completions against the Big 12 foe a week ago and Utah State’s defense is far worse, allowing 255 yards per game through the air despite being 3-0.
The junior quarterback is going to have his best game of the season, passing for well over 300 yards with three touchdowns and no turnovers. He’ll also complete around 70 percent of his passes.
