Notre Dame football safety Kyle Hamilton is an absolute freak and if there was one defender that could work his way into the Heisman conversation, it would be Hamilton.

He’s definitely going to be a top-10 pick in next year’s NFL draft and predicting another interception for Hamilton might not seem that bold, only that defenders don’t usually get an interception per game.

Hamilton has done that in addition to being credited with 21 tackles, two tackles for loss and two passes defended.

But as I said, Mertz has been prone to mistakes both this season and last year down the stretch. Wisconsin isn’t going to be at home and Notre Dame’s defense, much like Penn State, is capable of making impact plays — Hamilton especially.
