It’s been 57 years since the Wisconsin football team has played Notre Dame football — a streak that was supposed to have ended last year.

The Badgers were all set to host Notre Dame at Lambeau field in 2020, but Covid-19 forced the teams to reschedule that stadium and will now take place in 2026.

Fast forward to 2021 and Notre Dame will be hosting Wisconsin football at Soldier Field, home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears — a stadium in which the Irish have never lost a game (10-0-2).

This game has huge implications for the Big Ten Championship at the end of the season and massive College Football Playoff implications. A loss by Wisconsin will all but eliminate their chances of finishing in the top four. A win by Notre Dame will add a signature win to their resume.

With that, let’s check out three bold predictions for this huge Week 4 college football game.

3. Wisconsin football Head Coach Paul Chryst will be in a chess match with Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly, head coach for Notre Dame, will be looking to make history with a win on Saturday. If Notre Dame can defeat Wisconsin, Kelly will become the all-time winningest coach in program history with 106 wins— a huge milestone.

Alternatively, Wisconsin will do its best to avoid making history. The Badgers have never started off a season 1-2 under Head Coach Paul Chryst since he was installed as head coach beginning in the 2015 season.

These are two great coaches who will be going deep into their bag to find ways to out-scheme the other. It’ll be interesting to see who’s game plan prevails.
