Friday and Saturday kicked off a weekend of college football that had some elite matchups and really affected the outlook of the rankings for Week 5.

The weekend kicked off with Liberty trying to claw into the Top 25 for the first time this season, but the Flames fell on the road to Syracuse which will probably eliminate them from consideration for at least a few weeks. Hugh Freeze is going to have to hope to blow everyone on his schedule out now. Wake Forest also made a bid for the Top 25 on Friday night with a blowout win at Virginia.

And then Saturday afternoon’s slate was highlighted by a ranked battle between No. 12 Notre Dame and No. 18 Wisconsin. The game was tied 10-10 in the third quarter when Jack Coan went down with an injury, but instead of crumbling under the pressure, Drew Pyne came in and helped lead a big scoring drive and the Irish went on to win 41-13 thanks to a couple of pick-sixes. We may be saying goodbye to Wisconsin in this week’s AP Top 25.

The late afternoon slate was highlighted by a couple of big games. Arkansas and Texas A&M faced off at AT&T Stadium and Iowa State traveled to Waco to face Baylor. Both favorites were upset as we should finally see Baylor in the Top 25 this week.

Oh, and we saw a shocking Clemson upset at NC State as the Tigers are left looking for answers.

North Carolina fell to an upset and the weekend shook up the AP Top 25 in a big way.

What will the Week 5 rankings look like on Sunday afternoon?
