College Football Rankings 2021: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 5
Just about everyone expected Iowa to inflict some serious pain on Colorado State on Saturday afternoon, but the game was surprisingly close and the Rams even took a 14-7 lead at halftime.
The Hawkeyes went on to win, but it’s fair to wonder what this team plans to do with the offense seeing as it nearly caused them to be on upset alert against the Rams in Week 4. I don’t think anyone was ever truly worried that Iowa was going to lose, but not blowing out a bad Colorado State team with an awful defense is disappointing.
I think Iowa remains in the top five just because Texas A&M fumbled an opportunity and lost to Arkansas, but the Hawkeyes are on thin ice.
Kirk Ferentz has to start making some changes on the offensive side of the ball if this continues. The defense, however, has looked fantastic this season and may lead them to a Big Ten West title.
