Notre Dame is going to make that jump into the top 10 after trending in the wrong direction through three weeks. The Irish dominated the second half against Wisconsin without some key players, including Jack Coan, and cruised to an impressive win over the No. 18 Badgers.

With the win, the Irish improve to 4-0 overall and Brian Kelly became the all-time winningest coach at Notre Dame, passing Knute Rockne.

Marcus Freeman deserves some praise from the win over the Badgers at Soldier Field as his defense looked dominant and made life miserable for Graham Mertz who threw four interceptions and two were returned for touchdowns. The Irish need to be considered one of the best defensive teams in the country.

Who saw a 41-13 win over Wisconsin coming in Week 4? Probably no one, especially when the game was tied 10-10 when Coan went down with an injury, but Drew Pyne and the defense stepped up big-time.

Maybe the Irish are legit after all.
