Here are three hot takes after Wake Forest Football’s 37-17 victory against Virginia.

There are two ways to look at the Wake Forest Demon Deacon’s 4-0 start. Bill Parcells famously said that you are what your record says you are. In that case, the Deacons are the best team in the ACC.

On the other hand, not all records are created equal. Wake’s two non-conference wins are against Old Dominion and Norfolk State, while the Deacon’s first conference victory came at the hands of Florida State.

The Seminoles are not exactly an ACC powerhouse these days. Friday night’s win against the Virginia Cavaliers either says that the Demon Deacons are one of the best teams in the conference this season, or the Cavaliers are not as good as we think.

This idea could be a case of two things that can be true. The Deacons have not exactly played a murderer’s row of opponents, but they have taken care of their business. Wake Forest football did not fool around with Old Dominion and Norfolk State.

It was the same situation as Florida State. The Demon Deacons knew what they wanted to do and did it. Wake Forest brought that same attitude against the Cavaliers Friday night. Here are three takes from the game.
