Florida State is a sinking ship in 2021, and they don’t appear to be getting any better.

My how things change.

A few weeks ago, many of us watched as Florida State football nearly pulled off an upset against Notre Dame at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The Fighting Irish were coming off a season in which they made an appearance in the College Football Playoff, so this would have been a huge win for the Seminoles.

Unfortunately, the Irish won the game in overtime, but it seemed like Florida State football was back on the right track again after a disappointing few years. The exact opposite has happened, as FSU now sits at 0-4 on the season, losing again on Saturday to Louisville football by a score of 31-23.

Nothing has gone right for the Seminoles in 2021. They currently rank 88th in total offense and 100th in total defense in four games this season, and though this is a small sample size, they haven’t shown much improvement week to week.

A highlight of FSU’s season so far has been McKenzie Milton returning to the football field. The former Central Florida quarterback suffered a devastating leg injury while he was with UCF, and he ended up transferring to Florida State and ultimately has gotten lots of playing time for the Seminoles.

However, the bad of this season has outweighed the good. Here are a few hot takes for FSU football.
