1. Notre Dame goes 4-0

The Irish have one of the toughest October schedules in college football but that won’t stop them from having major success.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a chance the Irish go 0-4 this month and truly just fall off the map but 3-1, 2-2, and 1-3 are also possibilities given the toughness of the schedule, but the fact that three of the four games in October are at home is going to help Notre Dame here.

Brian Kelly has his team believing after a 4-0 start despite close wins over Florida State and Toledo which weren’t exactly confidence-inducing performances.

Jack Coan is playing some really good football and assuming he stays healthy, I don’t see the Irish losing this month.

Cincinnati is going to be the toughest test but I think Notre Dame sneaks by the Bearcats. Virginia Tech and USC are coming back down to earth and those should be fairly easy wins for Notre Dame. And North Carolina, too, has struggled this season after being a top-10 team to start the year.

Notre Dame goes 4-0 and remains in the playoff hunt.
