1. KJ Jefferson enters the Heisman conversation

All aboard the KJ Jefferson bandwagon. Assuming he plays against Georgia in Week 5, the talented quarterback is going to have a big game which will lead to a breakout month in which he turns heads, passes for over 1,000 yards and accounts for 15 total scores. He’s going to enter the Heisman conversation.

Do I believe Jefferson is going to take home the Heisman Trophy? No, probably not, but he’s going to at least get the debate going.

After two months of play, how can you not talk about a guy who will have nearly 2,000 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes, and who is a rushing threat? He’ll also have the Razorbacks in the SEC title race which would have been unfathomable a year ago.

Before the season, fans were worried about Jefferson taking over for a departed Feleipe Franks because he didn’t have a great track record, but he’s silenced all the doubters and looks like one of the breakout stars of 2021.

October will be a huge month for the sophomore.
