2. BYU doesn’t win this game without Tyler Allgeier

We can give credit to the defense for a heck of a second-half effort and then Baylor Romney for completing 15-of-19 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game with an injury, but Tyler Allgeier was the star of the game for the Cougars.

Without the talented running back, the Cougars don’t win this game on the road.

Already down two quarterbacks, the offense needed to move the ball in the second half to stay ahead of Utah State. Whenever Jacob Conover and the offense needed a big first down, Allgeier stepped up and chunked the Aggies’ defense.

On the night, Allgeier rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries and he looked like a superstar all night long.

If Kalani Sitake is handing out a game ball after this one, it has to go to his sophomore running back. He was a monster all night.
