College football’s fifth week did not disappoint.

The weekend opened with a Thursday night battle between a formerly ranked Miami team and Virginia and, well, the Hurricanes looked bad again, down two quarterbacks, and lost at home to the Cavaliers. Manny Diaz might is on the hot seat right now.

Friday night featured a couple of ranked teams on the road as Iowa went to Maryland for an important Big Ten matchup. The Hawkeyes were on upset alert early but blew the doors off the Terrapins, 51-14. They’ll remain in the top five. Also, BYU went to Utah State down a quarterback and then lost another one and still won by two touchdowns.

Georgia and Arkansas played in the biggest game of the noon slate on Saturday but the top-10 battle in Athens was a little lopsided. Georgia showed just why it deserves to be ranked No. 1 with a dominant win over the red-hot Razorbacks. Michigan also had a tough road game at Wisconsin and won by three touchdowns.

Wake Forest also held on to beat a tough Louisville team with a last-minute field goal in the noon slate.

Notre Dame and Cincinnati played in the top game of the 3:30 p.m. ET slate and the Irish were unable to muster anything offensively as the Bearcats pulled off the huge top-10 road win. Alabama, too, recorded a big ranked win, dominating Ole Miss all afternoon long.

Oregon lost a shocker in the afternoon slate and Texas A&M was shocked at home later at home against Mississippi State. Also, Florida dropped as well which means five of the top 12 teams lost this week and there’s going to be plenty of movement.

What will the Week 6 AP Top 25 look like on Sunday afternoon?
