College Football Rankings 2021: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 6
We’re going to see Oregon drop down to No. 10 this week after losing to Stanford on the road. It was a relatively uninspired effort and it could have been avoided after a late targeting call on Kayvon Thibodeaux gave Stanford great field position to tie things up and send it to overtime. The Ducks have some serious question marks on offense.
One would think that the Ducks are guaranteed a shift outside of the top 10 after a road loss to an unranked team, but with so many top teams losing this week, the Ducks are likely to just hang out in the final spot.
Anthony Brown and the offense have plenty of questions to answer after a mediocre performance in Week 5 against the Cardinal and blowing a sure win in the final minutes was crushing, but the playoff hopes are still alive.
If you’re Oregon, you cannot lose another game if you want to have a chance at the top four by the end of the season.
Hopefully CJ Verdell isn’t out too long so they have a shot at that.
