Winner: Cincinnati (No. 5)

The Bearcats went into Notre Dame and got the biggest win in school history on Saturday. I think that there are still concerns going forward about their offense, but Cincinnati has shown that they are a top-five team. They are hoping that this win, along with dominating the AAC this season, can help make their case to be the first group of five playoff team.

The Bearcat’s biggest challenge the rest of the way might be complacency. Cincinnati is going to have to be impressive the rest of the way for the committee to give them a chance. The biggest test for the Bearcats the rest of the way might be SMU. The Mustangs have been impressive so far this season and could pose problems for Cincinnati.

Winner: Kentucky (No. 16)

What a day it was for the Wildcats. Kentucky never used to beat Florida, but Mark Stoops has now done it twice in four seasons. Kentucky played great defense against a rushing attack that had been devastating opponents, even Alabama. Kentucky now looks poised to be the second-best team in the SEC East and will have a massive opportunity when they travel to Athens in two weeks to take on Georgia.

It is fair to still be a bit skeptical of the Wildcats offense, but Will Levis has given them a passing attack that they have not seen in some time. Look for the Wildcats to be winners of nine or 10 games this season.
