Winner: Michigan (No. 9)

Wisconsin is a very bad team, but this was a big win for Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. He had never beaten Wisconsin on the road before yesterday and had never won as an underdog. It is fair to still have questions about the passing attack, but under a lot of pressure, Harbaugh has the Wolverines looking very good heading into the most important games of the season.

The most important thing for Michigan in my opinion is that they have an identity. The running attack and defense are both very good and it sets up well for quarterback Cade McNamara. The Wolverines still have questions to answer, but so far so good for Harbaugh.

Winner: SMU (No. 24)

How about the SMU Mustangs? Cincinnati is getting all of the attention in the AAC and rightfully so, but don’t dismiss SMU so easily. They have taken down TCU and have one of the nation’s best quarterbacks in Tanner Mordecai. SMU looked good again this weekend and they are going to be one of the most interesting teams to watch as the season goes on.

If the Mustangs can keep winning, it is going to set up a showdown with Cincinnati later in the season and the winner could be heading to a New Year’s Six game as well.
